A Bald Eagle Heading Home

During Morning Prayer today, I glanced up and saw one of God’s creatures we had just been mentioning: “All you birds of the air, bless the Lord.”  There, flapping slowly past our dining room window, was a beautiful bald eagle, with the morning sun brightly picking out his white head and white tail.

He cruised past our living room windows, probably on his way home.  (Have I mentioned we live right next to a 90-hectare coastal rainforest park?)  Sarah, who is often in the park, had mentioned that there  was a family of eagles nesting there, but I had not seen them yet from our new place.  It was thrilling.

Bless the Lord, all you works of the Lord.
Praise and exalt him above all forever.
(Dan 3: 57)
